The main considerations for installing a floor mirror are safety, practicality and beauty, so how to install the floor mirror correctly? Let's take a look at the installation skills of the floor mirror.
(1) Wall surface treatment requires that the wall surface be flat, free of bulging, unevenness. If the wall flatness is good, you can install it directly; otherwise, you can use cement mortar (you can add an appropriate amount of moisture-proof powder for better), and then scrape it flat.
(2) Each decorative glass mirror needs to drill four fixing holes for installation. The holes should be evenly distributed and not too close to the edge of the mirror to prevent cracking. Now the special-shaped decorative glass mirrors on the market generally have mounting holes, and non-shaped glass mirrors can be drilled at professional processing points. Put the glass mirror installation position on the wall with a good wire, and then put the decorative mirror on the corresponding position on the wall, pass through the hole on the glass mirror, and mark the corresponding hole on the wall. Remove the mirror and use an electric drill or hammer to drill holes in the marked positions on the wall. The hole diameter should be determined according to the size of the selected screw, which is generally 3 mm smaller than the diameter of the screw end.
(3) Paving material In order to prevent the decorative glass mirror from being damaged due to uneven base, a layer of bedding material should be added between the mirror surface and the wall surface. The insulation lining material is best to use thin felt or sponge board elastomer, 2~3mm thick, and fix it on the wall with milky white glue. The size of the backing material should be 10~15mm smaller than the glass, so that it can be a mirror. After installation, seal the periphery with caulking paste.
(4) Before installing the glass mirror, a protective layer of kraft paper should be pasted on the back of the glass mirror. The specific method is to first apply a layer of milky white glue on the back of the mirror, then paste a piece of kraft paper on the back of the mirror, and then smooth it with a plastic board. Pre-embed plastic expansion bolts in the holes on the wall, align the mirror with the holes, fix them with screws, and tighten them diagonally. It is recommended that the glass mirror surface is stable and does not shake.
(5) After the closed glass is installed and fixed, in order to prevent moisture from entering the back of the mirror and affecting the service life and quality of the mirror, the gap between the mirror and the wall should be filled with a caulking paste. Use an adhesive with higher bonding strength to The glass mirror is directly pasted on the base layer of the wall. This method is suitable for installation in a wall environment within 1 square meter. If the size of the mirror is large, or the mirror is installed on the ceiling, it is best to use bonding and nailing methods to ensure that the mirror will not fall and hurt people when it is damaged. Clean the back of the mirror to remove dust and sand.
